Your fit
Worked to your foot, confirmed before cutting.
Every last is worked to the client’s foot. There are no width fittings and no fixed widths. Give the bench your size, your measurements, or both; it confirms the fit with you before anything is cut.
Five ways
Give the bench your fit
Your size, your measurements, or both, confirmed before cutting.
-
01
Your UK size
Choose your size when you commission. If you already wear a SixKings pair, tell the bench the model and size and it works from that.
-
02
With a tape, at home
No printer needed. A helper, a flexible tape and a wall with no skirting board. Measure G, A, C and D, plus E and F for boots, as shown below. The bench asks if it needs more.

The printed guide
Five A4 sheets: trace both feet, take the nine measurements, photograph the sheets and send them on WhatsApp or to support@sixkingsbrand.com.

A fitting call
A video call with the bench, measuring with you as you go. Ask for a time on WhatsApp.

The nine measurements
A to I, both feet
In the afternoon, in the socks you will wear, standing with your weight on both feet, with a helper. Keep the tape flat against the skin, snug but not squeezing. Write each one in millimetres.
- AJoint girth
- Around the widest part of the forefoot, from the big toe joint to the little toe joint.
- BMid girth
- Around the foot, exactly halfway between A and C.
- CInstep girth
- The narrowest way round, from the middle of the arch to about 2 cm above the instep bone. Feel for the bump first.
- DLong heel girth
- From just above the instep bone, round the back of the heel where it meets the floor, back to the start.
- EHeight, boots only
- On the outside of the leg, from the floor to where F is taken.
- FAnkle girth, boots only
- Around the narrowest part of the leg above the ankle.
- GFoot length
- Heel to the tip of the longest toe: read it off the trace, or stand with your heel against a wall with no skirting board (or an upright book), hold a second book flat against your longest toe and measure between them.
- HForefoot width
- Across the two widest points of the forefoot, from the trace.
- IHeel width
- Across the widest part of the heel, from the trace.
Check: your foot length (G) against the size chart on the first sheet of the guide. If it is a long way from your usual size, or outside UK 5–13, message the bench.
At the bench
What happens to your fit
-
01
How do you like them to fit?
Heel, instep and toes: snug, true or roomy. Tell the bench with your measurements, or it will ask.
-
02
Your fit, confirmed
The bench reads your fit and, if anything is unclear, asks or suggests a short call. Then it sends you one page with your measurements on WhatsApp. Nothing is cut until you have confirmed it.
-
03
On delivery
You try the pair and the bench checks heel, instep and toes with you.
Nothing is cut until your fit is confirmed.
